Time Ergo Force Carbon Road Handlebar: The new TIME handlebar Ergo force was developed on the basis of a totally one-piece concept that makes it possible to guarantee perfect homogeneity of the carbon fibre structure and perfect reproducibility of its geometry. The structure consists of unidirectional and bidirectional braids constructed of HM and HR fibers. An aluminum alloy insert is incorporated under the structure during the molding process. Located under the stem, its function is to take up the forces of compression generated by tightening the stem so as to ease the composite that is low-performance for this type of stress. This fine design produces heightened rigidity, guarantee of a perfect transmission of the forces. The bores of the cable housings are incorporated into the form of the handlebar and adhesive covers hold them in place while guaranteeing optimal comfort. A frequently tricky point with carbon handlebars, the hold at the join of the stem and the brake handles was dealt with very specifically. The particularly stressed area of the stem is treated with a ceramic deposit and the area of the brake handles will be covered with a special varnish.
